Re-usable, Re-engineered Timing System
A simple and cheaper way to time events

A simple and cheaper way to time events
The idea for Retimed was born when we were asked to chip time a race that we host at our local running club. The system we used was great, but cost us several hundreds of pounds to hire for a weekend, and would have cost several thousands of pounds to buy outright. Surely there had to be another way?
So we set about researching alternatives. Once we found a way of reading chips that we thought was more affordable, with antenna on tripods and not mats, it was a case of sourcing the components as cheaply as possible and making it all work.
It was not that easy, even with our two in house boffins. There was some trial and error and a lot of head scratching as we sorted out what connected to what and how, got it working, and honed the system to get good performance.
The result is a set of components that we know work well, and that we can provide to others that are interested in a system that is easy to understand, and easy to setup.
As it happens, we think it is the cheapest way you could acquire a working system in the UK.
